Entered the wind industry as a technical instructor with a background in aviation and automotive industries. Designed and created the Wind Technician Academy at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 2008. Instructor training in Germany in 2008 at the Educational Center for Renewable Energies – Bildungszentrum für Erneuerbare Energien – BZEE accredited instructor with experience in field service of large utility wind turbine generation systems. Responsible for delivering work force training to entry level service technicians and advising wind farm operators of needed maintenance and repairs on a wide range of wind turbine generators. Responsible for developing and maintaining training standards for entry level wind turbine technicians using direct feedback from industry leaders in Europe and the Americas. Recognized as a mechanical and electrical specialist with knowledge in aerodynamics, electrical systems, hydraulics, rotating equipment, blade repair, rigging, fastener technology including electrical and safety at heights expertise. Provide independent consulting on technical issues within power generation which require advanced diagnostics and/or circuit design corrections.

Currently responsible for managing nine (9) technical training programs and developing/maintaining service contracts on generation systems and automation within industry. Develop and maintain industry relationships within electrical utilities and manufacturing. Develop new worker safety standards by participating on National Safety committees within industry. Deliver high-end safety training services to industry both in the field and at the training center. Consult with generation facility managers and operators to solve technical problems within the generation plant or with the interconnection to the electrical distribution system. Responsible for a staff of training and inventory management persons including budget authority and purchasing authority. Certified the department to ISO9001:2015 and manage the Quality Management System.
