Anthony is an esteemed safety professional with a wealth of experience in many areas of utility safety including Gas Distribution and Storage, Fleet Operations, Electric Distribution, Electric Generation, and Renewable Energy. He has worked in the utility industry since 2006, working with Xcel Energy and now as the Senior Manager, Safety at Alliant Energy. Anthony formerly was an active firefighter, EMT, and first responder with the Red Wing Fire Department, combining real-world emergency experiences with in-depth industry insights.
Anthony has worked with many safety organizations, including MEA Energy Association and the North Central Electric League. He has recently served as the Vice Chair of EHS Steering Committee at American Clean Power and is active in several safety committees within this organization. Anthony is qualified as an ENSA Authorized Wind Energy Instructor and the recipient of several key training certifications from FEMA ,OSHA, and Capital Safety.
With a solid background in safety, training, public speaking, emergency response, incident management, and injury investigation, Anthony has a proven record in providing safety leadership and training on a variety of topics to local, regional and international audiences. Anthony has a BS in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University. He proudly holds qualifications as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP).
