As the Head of EQS for Service North America, Peter Lukens is responsible for the management of the Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental activities pertaining the Service business unit in the North America region.
Mr. Lukens joined Siemens Gamesa in 2007 as an Environmental Engineer in Manufacturing. Shortly after, he became a Blades Root Cause Analysis Engineer in the Quality Department, supporting both North America and global manufacturing. Peter then progressed to become the Advanced Maintenance Manager for the region’s Service department, managing the performance of major turbine maintenance activities for North America.
In 2013, Peter took on a role heading up the Training Department for North America. He has held roles as the Head of HSE for Projects and Service North America, Head of HSE Onshore North America, Composite Blades Specialist, Project Manager, Training and Career Development Manager, and a Senior EHS and Training Manager.
Peter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University. Having worked in various areas of the organization, Peter looks to utilize past experiences and relationships to continue to assist and improve Siemens Gamesa towards a greener tomorrow.
Peter served as the O&M EHS Working Group Chair from August 2016 through March of 2020, is also the Vice Chair of the Wind Workforce Standards Committee since August of 2017 and serves on the HSE Steering Committee.
