As a Senior Reliability Engineer, Derek Mayon develops and leads the Drivetrain Reliability Program for the bp Wind Energy fleet. On top of that, Derek has chaired the ACP Wind Performance Committee since 2023, where he has built a memberbase of subject matter experts with the common goal of sharing their expertise and experiences for the betterment of the wind industry. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Engineering Management and Leadership from Rice University.
