Scott Sattler , Business Development Manager at Weidmuller, Inc , an international engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in smart industrial connectivity (Power/Signals/Data), providing solutions for the wind, solar, and hydrogen industries with my focus on monitoring solutions for wind turbine blades and blade bearings. With a Master of Science in Management, and my involvement in wind power since 2009, I have utilized my experience to bring new business for the Spain, U.K., and German based companies where I have been employed. My current career path is dedicated to this wind industry as I religiously attend numerous ACP events and now starting a new adventure penetrating the exciting offshore wind market. I am proud to be a part of the first USA offshore wind site in Rhode Island, as I was involved with supplying tower internals to the GE-Alstom turbines for the offshore Block Island Wind Farm. I have been certified to climb towers, and accomplished my first climb on a V80 in Texas in 2019 with the asset owner. Constantly involved with wind engineers, asset managers, and various supply chain personnel, over the last decade, to offer engineering solutions and “cost out” alternative products. A father of 2 daughters that wants to encourage them to focus on how we can create a healthier, cleaner, and greener planet.
